Well, I entered my first ever poker competition a few weeks ago at the Gala casino in Bournemouth and was lucky enough to win a seat in the Great British Poker Tour event held at the same casino in June. A £550 event which cost me £20! Started at 6pm on the Friday and by 3:30am on Saturday Morning there were 14 of us punters left to go through to the Sunday Playoff.
Saturday was the battle between another 70 punters and 15 finalists were to join us on Sunday.
Sunday Play started at 2pm with a total of 29 finalists. I just played really tight and concentrated on making it to the last 12 places and the MONEY! Wow, next I made it to the last 8 to make it to the TV table! I finished 6th place with approx £3,ooo so I am more than happy with the money and experience for £20. Just need to talk the wife into letting me play in Leeds now!
